Maitland, NSW: Maitland is known as one of the oldest heritage-rich regional centres in Australia – so it’s only fitting that Timezone, Australia’s most beloved and history-rich games arcade, will be opening its doors in the area soon! Set to open in the first quarter of 2018, the brand-new Timezone will be based in the Stockland Green Hills Shopping Centre in East Maitland. “We are excited to bring the Timezone experience to the Maitland community,” says Kane Fong, Timezone Australia GM. “Timezone is a treasured part of Australian history – most of us have a special Timezone story to tell! Timezone has evolved in vibrant ways, and it is now time for a new generation to start making their own Timezone memories.” According to Peter Hugh, Stockland Green Hills Project Director, “Timezone is an important addition to our Entertainment and Leisure precinct, complementing Hoyts Cinemas and creating a true entertainment destination for the people of Maitland.” Stockland Green Hills is being developed to be “much more than just another shopping centre”, says Hugh.

We’ve carefully planned the design, look and feel of this new centre, and attracted an incredibly diverse mix of new and interesting retailers and entertainment providers, to make Stockland Green Hills the heart of the local community.

Timezone Green Hills will be modern, bright and airy, and feature the latest, greatest games, including mini-bowling, dedicated party rooms and a modern, open prize shop. There will also be a cutting-edge laser arena, designed by the team from Creative Works. This arena will combine immersive environments and group play to create a highly engaging laser tag experience. Expect larger-than-life props, detailed murals, vibrant colours and music. Everything in Timezone Green Hills will work off a super-simple tap Powercard system that stores your balance and the amount of tickets you’ve won. Limited edition Powercards will be available for purchase. The mini-bowling lanes feature the smaller, easier-to-handle bowling balls that make the bowling experience accessible for all shapes, sizes and ages, even for younger kids. “We’re going to great trouble to make Timezone Green Hills a vibrant, inviting, modern space for people to go into”, says Jacques Bergh, Timezone Australia marketing manager.

Timezone has a wide demographic, from young children and teenagers to couples on date nights, parents and adults. It’s very family orientated – and has something for everyone.

Timezone Green Hills will be located at in the Stockland Green Hills Shopping centre, 1 Molly Morgan Drive, East Maitland.
